the Alrowwad Society concluded a training workshop as part of the Human Rights Investment Program. The workshop, funded by ASTM, covered various topics, including advocacy, risk management, documenting human rights violations, and electronic advocacy.
The three-day workshop aimed to equip participants with the skills and tools necessary to address human rights issues effectively. On the first day, trainers Yazan Mizher and Rayan AbuSrour discussed topics such as advocacy for social and political change, utilizing communication and social media, and digital technology to promote human rights causes. Participants learned how to plan and execute advocacy campaigns, set goals, identify target audiences, and produce three electronic advocacy campaigns under the guidance of trainer Mohammed Abu Haniyeh, including a radio spot and a short video used in the selected advocacy campaigns.
Additionally, the workshop provided training on project proposal writing, led by Ribal AlKurdi, the Executive Director of Alrowwad Society. This training aimed to familiarize participants with the systematic steps and necessary skills for preparing project proposals requiring funding, empowering them to develop their proposals for submission to funding organizations at the end of the training.
The workshop saw participation from various active institutions and associations involved in the program, all dedicated to enhancing and safeguarding human rights in the face of challenges and difficulties. This workshop represents a significant step towards raising awareness and building capacity in the field of human rights and is part of Alrowwad Society’s ongoing efforts to promote and protect these rights.
